The title has a double meaning, as we close in on summer and move into fall I’m going out on my summer outfits with this gingham dress. I am more of a fall person so I cannot wait for the cooler months to come by.  I had a blast this summer showing all the new trends that came out this season. Giving you ideas about what to combine things with. I can’t wait to grow with you more this fall.

The second meaning is I went out to a party in this piece.  Just a simple day trip for a family gathering. I got the dress from ASOS, it’s just a simple skater dress with some bell sleeves. What I did for accessories is, I added a high-waisted belt to bring in the dress. The dress is loose so I added the belt break up the pattern visually. If you have a strong print like gingham you can use something like a belt to break up the pattern. I added my favorite wedge sandals this summer, you can go for a flattering sandal, ballet flats, or espadrilles if you’re going to be on your feet all day. Put on a pair of subtle floral print sunglasses. And put my hair in a bun, it’s still way too hot for me to completely leave my hair down. Another reason why I like the fall is I can let my locks down more often and not feel as hot.

Love you all,

JG
